Mauricio Gonzalez, Moscatel Tinaja, Chile 2021

Mauricio Gonzalez is leading the charge with natural wine in Chile. His wines are made using original rootstock from previously abandoned vineyards that he has carefully nurtured back to life. His orange wine is aged in amphorae and has extended skin contact to make the winemaking as traditional as possible.

The Moscatel Tinaja has a gorgeous golden colour and a nose full of soft white flowers but also vibrant citrus zest. On the palate, citrus notes shine through with great acidity keeping the wine crisp and a slightly saline finish. Delicious and refreshing.
